Dr. T. has taught more than 1250 students in several undergraduate and graduate courses in three schools (University of Manitoba, Canada, University of Kentucky, Florida Atlantic University). He has taught special course (Spatial analysis for water resources modeling and management (didattica di eccellenza)) at Politecnico Di Torino, Italy. He has worked as teaching assistant for several courses and taught courses as a visiting assistant professor, adjunct faculty and lecturer. He has developed several creative course initiatives. He has served as member in three Faculty Learning Communities (FLCs) : (1) Technology-Enhanced Learning; (2) Inquiry-Based Learning and (3) Assessment Technologies and Strategies. He has served as a co-chair for the FLC related to Inquiry-based Learning. He has served as reviewer for several IEEE conferences on education.
Dr. T. has provided service to the department in curriculum development, development of new courses, lab manuals and electives for undergraduate students, ABET documentation, Ph.D. proposal development, senior design course lectures and mentoring of students and guidance in Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and developed career guidance presentations. He has worked as a FAU ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers) Chapter Faculty Adviser in the department for two years.
