For PhD students, my research interests are in the general area of systems and their applications. My specific areas of interest are currently semantic web, ontology, intelligent web, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education –\u00a0 analytics and tools, Socio-Technical Systems (STS), Open source, medical informatics, EDA (engineering design automation), and embedded \/ mobile systems. Two students are currently working with me: Sifat Islam ( on Application of the Semantic Web to\u00a0 Medical Informatics) and Frank Wissinger (on Application of EDA to Hydraulics) .\u00a0 Their recent publications are listed below:<\/p>\n
