The main goal of our research is to use Nano/Micro scale technologies to solve real world problems in medicine with applications in diseases diagnostics, infectious diseases, in vitro fertilization and tissue engineering.
-
Disease Diagnostics and BioMEMS:
We are developing point-of-care (POC) and microfluidic biosensors for rapid detection of various diseases including Cancer, Candidiasis, and HIV.
-
In Vitro Fertilization (IVF):
Infertile couple have to go through IVF procedures. We are developing an easy-to-use and inexpensive sperm sorting devices with applications in intrauterine insemination (IUI), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) and IVF.
-
Cell Material Interaction:
We are also interested to understand the interaction of cells with materials and hydrogels, and how these materials affect cell growth, proliferation, and differentiation.
