2015 South Florida GIS Expo was held in West Palm Beach, FL on Oct. 8 and 9. FAU Geomatics Engineering Faculty and Students attended the conference as a group (Drs. Nagarajan and Su, graduate students: Nivedita Sairam, Fahad Khan, and Debojit Biswas

Dr. Nagarajan and Nivedita Sairam gave oral presentations on a mobile mapping system developed by FAU Geomatics Engineering Program. Dr. Su introduced the work of using Landsat TM images to identify the area changes of gold mining sites in a water shed in Amazon rain forest, which was jointly done by Guilherme Hollo from Brazil.
